ROCK Documentation : FAQ - Automated Container Availability

How can I check how many containers are available in the system to offer ?

Go to rock ACA overview page, select the origin city where the customer is trying to book, and the container type. Click on the search button. Once the search data loads, examine the first two data points. open remaining availability offered to contract customers and the free sale remaining availability for spot customers.

How can I see wether containers have been allocated to a customer ?

Go to the customer allocation screen search for the price owner code or name to see where and what type of container is allocated to the customer

Why I can not see a customer in the drop down list of add allocation page ?

ROCK only displays active customers and permits container allocations for them. To verify a customer's active status, please use the CMD portal

I allocated containers to a customer, but why is the allocation no longer appearing on the allocation page

The customer may have been deactivated in cmd, allocations are only applicable to active customers

On ACA overview page I can see open remaining availability is non zero but why a contract customer is still unable to book ?

The most common reason is the contract customer must have containers allocated for the contract bucket which he has already booked , to check that follow the steps below

  1. Navigate to the customer allocation page and filter the data by customer name or code, container group, and contract, free sale, or food grade status.

  2. Record the site code, then access the ROCK ACA overview page. Select the corresponding site code from the location search box, and choose the appropriate equipment type from the equipment selection.

  3. Click "Search." Once the data loads, select "Show Customer Allocation." (WIP Subaharini Chellappan please update)

  4. Locate the customer code in the search results and review the Total Allocation and Total Allocation Used.

I can see that containers have been allocated to a customer, and they have not yet fully utilized their allocation. However, the customer is still unable to book. What could be the reason for this?

Ask booking system for the container type, city, and date, as well as whether the customer is placing a contract, free sale, or food grade booking. , verify the following details:

1. Navigate to the customer allocation page and filter the data by customer name or code, container group, and contract, free sale, or food grade status.

  1. Identify the depot and verify whether it is mapped to the pool of the city where the customer is attempting to book. If it is not, this may explain why the allocation is not being considered.

  2. If the mapping is correct, inquire with PMA and SSIB about the price owner code they are sending to ROCK. If the code differs and there is no open availability, the customer will be blocked from booking

  3. It is important to note, a customer is doing contract booking and has contract allocation in Rock, However, the customer is exceeding their contractual limits as outlined in UTM/YVD. Consequently, the booking system checks Rock for any available free sale options. Since there is no availability, the booking is being blocked.

I have configured customer alloctaion in rock , but the customer is not offered from the allocated sit , what could be the reason ?

Any modification made through ROCK UI requires 10-15 minutes to be updated.

I have excluded as site in rock , but this site is still offered to the customer , what could be the reason

Any modification made through ROCK UI requires 10-15 minutes to be updated.

Why is a site with zero availability being returned as the top-ranked option in the depot list ?

The default ranking logic in ACA is based on quantity in descending order, with the site containing the highest number of containers appearing at the top of the list. However, the system can be configured to bypass this logic and utilize a manual ranking of sites as specified through the UI

How can I configure certain sites to provide availability only for container yard (CY) booking or store door booing (SD) ?

This configuration can be managed through the UI, where users can allocate percentages for CY and SD based on the combination of site, container group, and dates. To fully allocate all containers to SD, users can simply set SD to 100% via the UI
